Heart arrhythmias may cause heart beats fast, slow or irregularly, which it make difficult for the heart to pump enough blood to the brain. The most noticeable sign of arrhythmias is the palpitations or fluttering sensation in the heart area of the chest. In severe cases, people with arrhythmias may experience, chest pain, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, fainting or syncope several times a day.
