Parotid Swelling by Sialolithiasis

Parotid Swelling by Sialolithiasis

Sailothithiasis is also known as salivary stones in which salivary duct is obstructed by the calcified mass (stone). The reason for the formation of the salivary stone is not exactly known. It occurs more in adult men.

Symptoms are the painful and tender parotid swelling (one side), intermittent pain and getting worse before the meal, and dry mouth (complete obstruction).

Please go to see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment if you have the symptoms.
