Meningitis

The meningitis is the inflammation of the meninges, the membrane that surrounds the brain. It is caused by the viral or bacterial infection. It happens more often in children and young adults.

Symptoms include high fever due to the infection, headache, neck stiffness due to increased neck muscle tone, and nausea/vomiting, along with other neurological signs such as sensitive to light. Nausea/vomiting occurs with headache.
