Nausea & Vomiting by Intestinal (Bowel) Obstruction
This is the condition in which the intestines of the GI tract are obstructed by intestinal adhesions, hernias, or twisting, which prevents food or liquid from passing through. Abdominal inflammation, surgery, and tumor are possible causes of the obstruction.
Symptoms include abdominal pain (cramping), nausea, vomiting. The vomiting is usually large amount with yellowish bile. As it progresses, there are bowel distention (swelling of the abdomen), pressing pain, constipation, and inability to pass gas.
