This is a infectious condition by Coxsackie B virus, and is often seen in children and young adult.
Bornholm Disease starts with flu like symptom, then, as it progresses, has pain in the lower chest and upper abdomen. The distinctive symptom is the chest pain that occurs often suddenly and becomes severe sharp pain during the breathing (due to the movement of the affected ribs cages). The painful attaches make very difficult to breathe. It may also have fever, headache, and muscle pain elsewhere.
