Varicose Veins
This is a condition in which the veins near the surface of the skin become enlarged, twisted and appeared in purple/blue color. It is commonly seen in the legs (shank) and feet.
Only small percent of varicose vein cases cause pain bulging veins. The veins may have purple or blue color appearance. Besides pain feeling, there may also be itchy, tenderness and redness in affected area, and swelling in the feet. In serious case, skin ulcers may occur.
