Dry Eyes

Eye dryness is caused by the lack of tear production. It is more common in the elderly over 50 years old. Other causes include medication, other diseases or environmental changes. Dry eye may be improved by stopping medication, or by treating primary diseases, or by improving environmental condition.

Symptoms include eye redness with burning sensation and itch in the eyes, and blurred vision as dry eye progresses.

When to see a doctor: Please go to see your doctor if there are the continuous dry eye symptoms.
