Red Eye by Keratitis

Keratitis

This is an inflammation of the eye cornea caused usually by infection, injure, strong light exposure, contact lens contamination. Cornea covers the pupil and iris of the eyes. In the keratitis the small blood vessels surrounding cornea become inflamed, inflated, and visible, which give redness appearance.

Symptoms include red, pain, itchy, and watery eyes. Eyes are sensitive to light and blurred vision. Since this is circumcorneal congestion, eye redness is often most intensely around the edge of the cornea.

Treatment: please go to see your doctor if there is eye redness with pain and itchy eyes.
