Orbital Cellulitis

This is the inflammation of eyes caused by bacterial infection in the eye socket. Typical symptoms are whole eyelid redness and swelling with pain, itchy and discharges, and fever. As inflammation/infection progresses, other more severe symptoms include difficulty in opening eye and in eye movement, blurred vision or vision loss.

When to see a doctor: If there is eyelid redness with pain, itchy and discharge, please go to see your doctor as soon as possible.
