Red Eye by Scleritis

Scleritis

This is an serious inflammation of the sclera, the white portion of the eye. It occurs more common in women. It can be the result of an infectious disease, but is often the part of other systemic diseases such as lupus, arthritis etc.

Symptoms include eye redness with pain, light sensitivity, discharge eye and blurred vision. There my be pain sensation in ocular, temple or jow. As it progresses, there may be tenderness of the eye to couch and the loss of vision.

When to see a doctor: Please go to see your doctor when you have eye redness and constant eye pain along with other symptom seen in Scleritis.
