The skin rash in contact dermatitis is an allergic response and caused by direct contact a substance. The common substance can be plants, household chemicals, cloth materials or animal fur/leather. The skin rash is often itchy and appears usually on the parts of body that are directly exposed to the substance. It usually lasts a couple of days to weeks. Please go to see your doctor if the rash is severe and tenderness.
