Leukonychia (milk nails)

This is a condition for white colored discoloration. Nails have white colored spots or Leukonychia striata (Mees’ lines) in the nail plate. Leukonychia striata is transverse whitening bands running cross the nail. The condition is usually caused by mild injury to nails (can heal itself over time), but it may be also associated with systemic illnesses and chronic medical conditions.
