Nail Disease by Onychomycosis (toenail fungus/fungal nails)

Onychomycosis (toenail fungus/fungal nails)

This is a common nail disease, which becomes more pronounced as we age.

When nails are thickened and have whitish or yellowish appearance, it is likely an indication of fungal infection. It affects the toenails more commonly. Other symptoms include brittle, crumbly and pitting/indented nails, or nail loose as the infection progress.

Mild nail infection responds well to antifungal treatment. Please go to see a doctor if the condition gets worse or other illness is present as well.
