The risk of kidney cancer increases as age >50. There are not much sign of the condition in the early stages of the cancer. Unlike bladder cancer, there is usually no pain in urination.

Symptoms are persistent back or abdominal pain in lumbago area, blood in the urine (may appear dark red or brown), fever, and weight loss.
