Abdominal Mass by Cholecystitis
This is the inflammation of the gallbladder or cholecyst, a small organ located beneath the liver. Gallbladder stores bile and releases it into the GI tract for helping fat digestion. Therefore, the food especially fatty food can stimulate the secretion of the bile. Cholescystitis is usually caused by the gallbladder stone that results in the blockade of bile secretion.
Symptoms include severe pain (biliary colic) and tenderness in the upper right abdomen, nausea and vomiting, and fever. The pain may be temporarily relieved after the vomiting.
Please go to see your doctor for diagnosis and treatments if there is the abdominal pain with vomiting and fever.
