Brief Description
Acute gastritis is a sudden inflammation of stomach, which is often caused by bacterial infection, too much alcohol drinking, and by some medicines. At times, it can be the part of other diseases/disorders.
Symptoms include nausea/vomiting, upper or middle abdominal pain, and feeling abdominal distention (bloating). There may be diarrhea, and the sensation of chest constriction (the part of upper abdominal pain).
Most cases of acute gastritis are short-lived and go away without medical treatment. However, if the symptoms last for a couple weeks, please to go to see your doctor for diagnosis and treatments.
