Abdominal Pain by Urinary Tract Infection

Abdominal Pain by Urinary Tract Infection

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection of the urinary system including kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. The bladder is a sac-like organ that collects and to stores urine before urination. UTI occurs often in the lower urinary tract, the bladder and urethra. It occurs more in young and adult women.

The range of symptoms depends on the severity and duration of the infection. Common symptoms are urgent, frequent, burning sensation urination. Other symptoms include low grade fever and low back\abdominal pain. As it progresses, there may be pus in the urine (milky or cloudy urine) or blood in urine (dark red or brown colored urine).

If there are above symptoms such as frequent/urgent/painful urination, especially with fever or back/abdominal pain, please go to see your doctor for diagnosis and treatments.
