Blood in Stool by Anal Fissures or Anal Tears

This is the condition in which the skin around anus is broken, which is usually small tear and is caused by passing hard stools, constipation, or prolonged bowl movement. Typical sign is the fresh red blood on the stool or, more often, on the toilet paper.

Small tear or fissure can heal itself in one or two weeks. If it is chronic, or bleeding with pain or abdominal pain, please go to see your doctor for diagnosis and treatments.
