This is the medical condition in which the vasculature or blood vessels in the anus & lower rectum are swollen and inflamed, which may lead to rectal bleeding. It is caused by many factors, but seen more in the age > 50 years old.
Symptoms include bleeding during bowel movement but usually bleeding after the void or defecation, often fresh red blood on stool, and swelling around the anus.
