This is the condition in which the throat (pharynx) is infected by virus or bacteria, commonly seen as a cold or flu. In the most cases, a sore throat or pharyngitis is painful, irritation and getting work during swallow.
During the infection, there may feel having a small mass in the neck under the hyoid bone. If lymph nodes are affected and inflamed, there may be multiple swelling nodules in the neck in the both sides.
Treatments: It heals itself in the most cases. Please go to see your doctor if it comes with high fever, or last more than a week, or neck mass is persistent even after the infection or sore throat goes away.
