Osteomalacia

This is a softening of the bones, often caused by a vitamin D deficiency.

There may be no symptom at the early stage of osteomalacia. As it progresses, muscles weakness or leg weakness occur, and bone pain becomes the major symptoms affecting the lower back, pelvis, legs and chest. Bone pain get worse in movement or at night when more weight is on the back.
