Limb Pain by Bursitis

Bursitis

This is the inflammation of bursae. The bursae are the sacs that lubricate and cushion the bones, tendons and muscles at the joints. Bursitis is often caused by the repeated or heavy movements, or by trauma. It affects one joint or multiple joints such as shoulder, elbows, hip, thigh and knees.

Symptoms typically include the tenderness and pain of the affected joint.  Joints appear swollen and redness. The pain may become worse at night when lying on the side of the affected joint.

Treatments: The condition can be relieved by home remedies. However, please go to see your doctor if the pain and tenderness are severe or last more than a week, or if there is a systemic symptom such as fever accompanied the bursitis.
