Eye Floater

Eye floaters are dots, lines, or cloud like spots drifting or floating aimlessly around in the field of vision. In the most cases, eye floaters are the part of normal aging process. We start seeing floaters as we age, usually > 50 years old.  Translucent or clear floaters are caused by the breaking-down of collagen fibers in the eye as the part of aging process. Dark or black floaters are caused by the blood leaking into the eye, often indicating a serious medical condition. If it is not treated appropriately, there is the risk of vision loss.
